Something I've noticed....

I was scrolling through my recent posts over the past few days and there is something in common that hasn't been done on purpose.....I seem to really be in to flower themed cards lately. Could it be that I am wishing for Spring?

Garden Greetings Quickie

A really simple and quick card for today's post. This is the Garden Greetings Stamp Set #113716 (page 55 in the SU IB&C). I have another plan for this set, but this card came to mind in the middle of making the other one, and I knew I could make it really quick so I wanted to make it before it left my mind.

Items used::
Cardstock:: Whisper White, Riding Hood Red, So Saffron, Pumpkin Pie, Bashful Blue
Ink:: Riding Hood Red, So Saffron, Pumpkin Pie, Bashful Blue
Embellishments:: Scallop Circle, 1" Circle, 1 38/" Circle, 1 /4" Circle, 3/16" Corner Rounder Punches, 1/4" Pumpkin Pie Ribbon, Flower Assortment Brad

Stayed tuned for more cards with this set.

Exotic Raspberry Tart Trifold Card

I have had the Raspberry Tart DSP for awhile now and just didn't know what to do with it. My original idea was to use it for Valentine's day cards and I think the green in the paper was throwing me off, because I just couldn't get the Valentine's vibe from it. So, before I ruined all of the paper trying to force the V-day plan I set it aside and moved on. Well, every since then this paper has been on my mind. Part of the reason is that I bought two packs of it (thinking I would need plenty for the V-day cards I had in mind) and I didn't want this paper sitting unused and then before you know it no longer available in the SU book.....so it would be the dreaded OUTDATED DSP!
I finally had about an hour between yesterday and today to work with this paper again and this is what I came up with.

Items used::
Stitched Exotics Stamp Set #115080, Page 98 in the IB&C
Cardstock and Paper::  Raspberry Tart DSP, Rose Red, Kiwi Kiss, Basic Black, Pretty In Pink, Whisper White
Ink:: Basic Black, Rose Red, Pretty In Pink
Embellishments:: Circle Ice Rhinestone Brads, Eyelet Border Punch, Designer Label Punch, Large Oval Punch, 1/2" Circle Punch, Kiwi Kiss/Very Van. Satin Ribbon, 1/4" Black Grosgrain ribbon, Paper Piercing Mat Pack

Flower Power!

I've probably said this before about many other stamps sets, BUT this could be my FAVORITE set! Its called Petal Pizzazz 113417 page 90 in the SU IB&C. I just found a card made with this set on one of my favorite blog pages and forgive me, but I can't remember which one or I would love to make note of it. The card used this color scheme and I changed the design to make it my own. I can't wait to also use this set with pink, brown, and orange flowers too with the Sweet Always DSP. This particular card was made with the NEW Specialty DSP Sweet Slumber , which BTW is Textured, cover-weight card stock.......very fun to use!

Items used::

Cardstock & DSP:: Sweet Slumber Specialty DSP, Kiwi Kiss, Baja Breeze, So Saffron, Whisper White

Ink:: Riding Hood Red, So Saffron, Baja Breeze, Kiwi Kiss, Basic Gray

Embellishments:: Earth Elements (Ruby Red brads), Kiwi Kiss Corduroy Brad, Kiwi Kiss/Very Vanilla Satin Ribbon, Curly Label Punch, Fresh Favorites II So Saffron Button

This card has a lot of cutting out involved, but isn't it sooooo cute?!

Flower Fancy

This is the first time I've used this Flower Fancy stamp set (#111578 Page 80 in the SU Idea book). Like my last post I wanted to use up more of the Green Tea DSP paper, which just like the last post you could also use the current DSP Urban garden to achieve the same look. OH! and look, I used some of the new Clear Rhinestone brads. So excited about those! I'm going to be using those a lot. I love when you can use one item with many color schemes. I feel like I'm getting my money's worth I guess.
Anyways, here are the card facts::

Cardstock & Designer Series Paper:: Green Tea DSP, Baja Breeze, Kiwi Kiss, Whisper White

Ink:: Baja Breeze, Kiwi Kiss, Basic Gray

Embellishments:: Jumbo Pewter Eyelets, Clear Rhinestone Brads, Kiwi Kiss/Very Vanilla Satin Ribbon, Eyelet Border & Large Oval Punch

Pocket Silhouettes

The DSP (Designer Series Paper) used on this card is Green Tea and has been retired......that makes me quite sad. I really love this paper and wanted to use it up. In the current SU IB&C (Idea Book and Catalog) you will find a similar paper called Urban Garden that shares in this color scheme with the Baja Blue and Kiwi Kiss. So, you could easily convert this card by using Urban Garden and still get the same affect.

Items used::
Stamp Set 111672 Pocket Silhouettes Page 86 in the IB&C, 113756 Love You Much (friend to friend) Page 27 in the IB&C.

Cardstock & Paper:: Green Tea DSP(retired) or Urban Garden DSP (current), Whisper White, Kiwi Kiss, & Baja Breeze.

Ink:: Basic Gray

Emellishments:: Kiwi Kiss/Very Vanilla Satin Ribbon, Pewter Brads, Word Window Punch

I left the inside of this one blank. I figured it would make a nice Thank You or Just Because card.

Super-Cute Baby Card!!

This little card was created due to a request by my neighbor for a baby card. This little onsie idea has been around for awhile, but I put my own spin on it and this is what I came up with.

OH and no stamping involved!
It fits in a normal 5-3/4" x 4-3/8' envelope.
Here are the punches I used: Eyelet Border, Scallop Circle, Trio Flower, & 1-3/8 Circle punch.
The new Big Shot Texturz Plates (Stampin' Up! Backgrounds 1) were used........love those! They are so much fun to create with. CLICK ON THE PICTURE TO SEE THE DETAIL OF THE EMBOSSING FROM THE BIG SHOT TEXTURZ PLATE.

Now I need to make a boy one. I'm going to add these cards to my "Handmade Cards by Angelique" site soon for orders.
